While working for a commercial real estate company, I was tasked with finding a system that could serve as a building directory on an iPad. The building in question is The Rand Building, home to many tech companies and startups, so I felt like many of the dated commercial real estate building directory systems wouldn’t work for the culture of the building. Not seeing anyting that worked off-the-shelf, I decided to build something myself, using Angular.js and Firebase. Thanks to Tim Britt, who acted as a mentor and got me going on the right path for the project!
